Snell Real Estate and The Bisbee’s Create a Festive and Successful 25th

Chris Snell not only sponsors the event, he participates

Los Cabos, Mexico – Oct. 31st 2005 – Snell Real Estate, the leading independent real estate broker specializing in the finest properties in Los Cabos, today announced their participation and sponsorship of the 25th Anniversary Bisbee Black and Blue Marlin Tournament. Snell Real Estate capitalized on their relationships in Los Cabos to ensure that the tournament went off without a hitch.

Outside of being the marquee sponsor of the event, Snell Real Estate entered the competition with a who’s who of fishing greats. The Snell team, lead by CEO and founder Chris Snell, charted the Piano Bar Too. The vessel was captained by the Cabo legend, Steve Murphy, and Leader Man was Captain Joe Mike with Tita as the first mate. The team caught and released a 180 lb Striped Marlin, a 210 lb Blue Marlin and a 260 lb Black Marlin. Chris Snell was the angler for all three catches. The rest of the team was comprised of Tad Snell, Brad Wheately (Golf Pro at Cabo del Sol), Fernando Ortiz (Assistant Golf Pro CDS) and Jeff Bagwell who could not actually fish due to the world series.

Snell Real Estate will continue with our relationship with the Bisbee family. Snell will not only sponsor this event again, and again, Snell has already signed up for next year as Team number 1.

“We are a good fit and both of us have been here through the lean, difficult times and we are now beginning to benefit from all our efforts,” said Snell. “The Bisbee Black and Blue Marlin Tournament is the single most important and largest yearly event in Los Cabos. It provides an enormous economic impact and marks the start of a new season for Los Cabos.”

The Piano Bar, owned by Tim and Edra Blixseth, the family also owns the Piano Bar Too charted by the Snell Team, played a crucial role in the success of the tournament. The Blixseth family provided the Piano Bar with Captain Charlie at the helm to be the official start boat every morning. Tim and Edra could not be present for the festivities as they were framing houses in New Orleans for people who lost their homes in Katrina. Tim is committed to raise $100,000,000 for Habitat for Humanity and has written a new song for Katrina relief called Heart of America. To hear the song that Tim wrote and to contribute to the relief efforts please visit www.habitatforhumanity.com.

During the awards ceremony Chris Snell addressed the crowd of over 900, “I want to thank Tim and Edra for providing the Piano Bar, free of charge, to the Bisbee tournament and commend them for the work they are doing for the victims of the Katrina disaster.”
