Dear Readers:

I was asked by Rodolfo Arroyo, of Los Cabos For Sale Magazine, to write an article about Real Estate in Los Cabos. I was flattered and agreed to provide my insight on this market and this very special place I call home.

At first I thought I would overwhelm you with statistics, and after some thought decided against that approach. As I pondered what specifics to share with you, I found myself being drawn to thing that I love most about this place, the active outdoor pampered lifestyle. That is what real estate sales is ultimately about in Los Cabos. We are blessed with warm sunny weather combined with relatively low humidity for up to 10 months of the year. This allows our active visitors and residents to take advantage of the many natural outdoor wonders that are offered here.

As this paradise becomes more well-known throughout the world, the flow of vacationers and outdoor enthusiasts continues to increase. In tandem with, and in support of, this increased worldwide demand, significant expansion is underway. A few examples of this are: the new runway at the San Jose del
Cabo airport to support the new airlines and routes servicing the area, the runway expansion of the Cabo San Lucas regional airport runway to service larger private corporate jets and the widening of the highway 19 connecting Los Cabos with La Paz and Todos Santos and the new ultra modern desalination plant servicing the Cabo San Lucas marketplace.

The charm and character of the Mexican Baja can be found in the many communities of Baja California Sur. Towns like Todos Santos which was recently named a "Magic town", by the federal government. This charming
village offers a variety of restaurants featuring outdoor courtyards taking advantage of the natural flora of the area. Also, a growing collection of art galleries feature the works of both indigenous artists as well as those
who now call this their home. This Pacific coast town simply reflects the authenticity of a Pueblo and the natural beauty of its historic past. With a very temperate climate year around and plenty outdoor activities to choose from, the attractiveness of this town is growing exponentially.

Another bustling community of the Mexican Baja is the city of La Paz, the State capital of Baja California Sur. One of the cities popular features is the 3 mile long Malecon which hugs the shore of the Bay of La Paz. Every
morning, this "human" street comes alive with both visitors and residents enjoying the fresh air and breathtaking vistas of the ocean and desert mountains which envelop the city. Yachting throughout the islands of the
Sea of Cortez is a popular past time of the La Paz community and the recent addition of a third marina and plans for a fourth show the past time continuing its popularity. As the city prepares for the coming growth, a
mega project, known as "El Mogote", is underway and will improve the services and complexion of this Capital city.

Along the Southern and Eastern shore connecting San Jose del Cabo and La Paz lies the East Cape. Its splendor and popularity continue to increase due to the abundance of rustic beauty and the ability to truly experience the rugged outdoors. From diving and snorkeling in Cabo Pulmo to surf fishing in Pescadero to hiking in the Sierra Madre mountain range, the East Cape offers a true baja outback experience while being close to the amenity of Baja California Sur's city centers. The development planning for this area supports a large number of large parcels which are currently for sale, or recently sold and are being master planned, through the East Cape corridor.

In the historic town of San Jose del Cabo, the neighborhood of downtown San Jose is experiencing many upgrades and improvements, while maintaining the rich history of old San Jose. The recent expansion of the park surrounding the downtown church square simply compliments the outdoor experience you will have while shopping along the main corridor or experiencing the many town festivals which are hosted here.

As you look around the globe 50 miles north and 5 miles south of the 27 degree parallel, Tropic of Cancer, you will not find as diverse a cross section of terrains. From pine forests to mountains to desert to massive
arroyos, all of which are framed by two pristine oceans with one that features the last living coral reef in Western North America . This unique topography combined with a year round outdoor climate delivers an unmatched experience anywhere in the world.

The Real Estate market has experienced a recent increase in prices, which reflect the global demand for our paradise. I believe there are many opportunities for developers. We have many miles of pristine coastline and
the conditions are ideal. The properties here are built of concrete, allowing your investment to be passed on for generations. Mexico is attractive to the international investor, with a young work force, a good reputation, and rich with resources.

I believe that Los Cabos and surrounding areas will continue to grow in popularity. We have something here for everybody. We welcome the challenges of growth and are a maturing resort area. The micro-economy we have here, has virtually 0% unemployment. Many people are moving here from mainland Mexico, to fill this demand.

I am working in the best Real Estate market in this hemisphere, and achieve real satisfaction from my career. I am happy to be a part of this community, working in the industry I love. I recommend Los Cabos to anyone
looking for a more active, improved lifestyle.
