March 24, 2005

Dear Friends:

I know it has been a while since I have been in touch. I am pleased to announce that my new real estate company Snell Real Estate has been busier than a one legged man in an ass kicking contest. I am not complaining though, the dog days of summer are near and it will be essential that I have deniro for cerveca, frijoles, arroz Y pollo. Okay beer, beans, rice and chicken. I am enjoying the challenges as well as the education I am getting. The real estate market here is rampant and when asked why, I can not say for sure. Well other than the fact the boomers begin to retire in 2005 and we are between a 1.5 - 5 hours flight from all major cities in North America. There are a number of hotel chains that have secured locations for the future many of them including golf courses. We are watching more block store moving in such as Home Depot, and Vons.

The growth continues at a rapid pace and there are constructions sites all over Los Cabos. Some skeptics have spoke of the bubble bursting. I would not personally gamble by waiting, and follow the lead of the hotels to buy now to secure the price. We are complaining about the lack of inventory and builders are scrambling in many developments to build homes that have purchase contracts in place. I think Los Cabos is a bargain when factoring in the services offered, the receptive people and quality of lifestyle. I can say I have not heard of five people complaining about this area in the 13 years I have been visiting here.

On a lighter note, we just completed the San Jose Days Festival which happens for the week of March 13-20, 2005. This coincides with spring break making this a fun week to be here. This week we are celebrating Semana Santa (Saint Week) and the only people working are Snell Associates. Okay, and the restaurants and bars. I find that as time goes on my passion for this place only increases and I find myself missing it when I am on holidays. I will keep this short to maintain your interests. If you have any questions at all about Los Cabos or any of the townships in Baja California Sur, please drop me a line and I will do my best to accommodate you. In the meantime have a happy Easter Holiday and I will be in touch.
