The Future of Building
in the Baja
L.A. Times Article
Snell Press Release
January 2006
A recent article indicated that our International airport received
over 2,500,000 visitor during the year of 2005 up 700,000 from the
previous year. As a result of our growing popularity we anticipate
somewhere in the area of 3,000,000 this is not including the cruise
ships and those that arrive via the Transpeninsular highway running
from Tijuana to Los Cabos. We are experienced tremendous growth
with new projects being built throughout the municipality. There
are rumors that our population is in the area of 200,000 and
growing rapidly. New highways, improved communication system and
an upgrade on our international airport is allowing this
community to keep up with the growing popularity that Los Cabos
has achieved. The area of Los Cabos has an approved plan that will see well
over 1 billion U.S. dollars spent over the next 20 years on infrastructure. The growth projection is to take this area from the current 200,000 + - to 1,000,000 people within this 20 year period. The highways will be improved to access both the Sea of Cortez and Pacific coastline. Currently sections of the 4 lane highway from
Cabo San Lucas to La Paz is under construction. Today, we are able
to get U.S. Title Insurance on properties here to guarantee your
investment is safe in Mexico. The town of San Jose is also having a new marina built that will develop over 1800 acres. Offering 2 - 18 hole golf courses designed by Greg Norman and Jack Nicklaus. as well as an entire community
including 2 hotels within the marina and 2 projected for the
townsite of La Playita. There are currently more than 50 hotels that dot the coastline, and
many projects are now under construction. The town of
Cabo San Lucas continues to grow and the entire area is constantly
experiencing upgrades in services including a desalination plant
currently under construction. The area of Los Cabos is fast
becoming known all over the world and has a bright future. With a
moderate climate of 80's in the winter and low 100's in the summer
the climate in Los Cabos is close to ideal. Whether your interests
be living on a golf course, the beach, or buying your oceanfront lot
and building your own dream home, contact me Randy Thompson
