The East Cape

East Cape Baja Mexico

arrow Buying East Cape Real Estate arrow PropertyEastCape.com

Dear Fellow Investor:
The East Cape has been discovered and in big way. There are numerous projects dotting the coastline which promise to continue in the trend of offering fabulous waterfront living in lovely Los Cabos. To begin the tour you will encounter the Marina and 1,800 acre planned community known as Puerto Los Cabos. The first phase lots are sold and the Marina has been dug. There are still plenty of opportunities to get involved with this first class development. The neighboring property is El Encanto which offers a combination of custom waterfront homes as well as luxury condominiums. There are numerous reservations made and the development is extremely well finished and considered great value by me. Then neighboring property is a development known as Laguna Hills which offers spectacular views of the bay in San Jose and Punta Palmilla. Next we encounter a large parcel also owned by the Navarro Group and there are rumors of a second marina. We then arrive at Punta Gorda where Los Zacatito’s is mostly sold out and home construction is active. The adjoining parcel of land is owned by the developer of Los Zacatito’s and it is said to have been sold to the Mayan Resort chain, Mexican hotel builders. We then encounter a number of smaller parcels all with plans for development then a large parcel owned by the Pueblo Bonito hotel chain. From there we encounter some smaller parcels then a second large site also owned by Pueblo Bonito. Following these future developments we encounter some small developments underway. At mile 21 we come onto Vinorama Estates which is made up of a 143 lot subdivision with stunning waterfront lots and water views from almost every home site. Nearing the crossroads we encounter a gated community known as Cabo Esmeralda which offers paved streets, water, curbs, and sidewalks. This promises to be a lovely development when complete.
This next section I will call phase II of the East Cape tour. We first encounter a development referred to as Vinorama. There you will find a number of quality built homes and a restaurant/bar which can be a welcome site. We travel from there through the now sold out Villas De Oro, a waterfront subdivision developed by the Olachea Family. Adjoing this development the Olachea family is currently working on a number of development projects on their property. We are then at mile 28 when we encounter another arroyo. Upon reaching the other side we are in the area known as El Salado. There is one waterfront subdivision their with plans for others currently underway. As we travel encounter a recently sold ranch named Piedra Bolas. This Km of waterfront is gently sloping from the road offering fabulous vistas from all potential home sites. There are a number of smaller parcels in the area until we encounter Rancho Antares. This property is 1Km of waterfront and borders the bay of Los Frailles. The beach is sandy and the view of Los Frailles point is spectacular. On Los Frailles Bay there are suites available for rent. We then encounter an area known as Las Barracas. The coastline here is beautiful with nothing currently available for sale. We then encounter Cabo Pulmo, the last living reef on the Pacific side of Mexico. Snorkeling and diving are world class and the shades of green and blue water are unmatched. We then hit ashphalt just before encountering El Rincon. There are a number of small acreages in the area of 4 acres with still some opportunities for larger parcels when we encounter Punta Arena. Here you will find the abandoned lighthouse. The next parcel of land is the development known as Lighthouse Point Estates. This is a successful waterfront development offering waterfront lots in the area of $300,000.00. From there we come upon the town site of La Ribera. There is a parcel with 7.8 hectares situated on the water with electricity, water and sewer. At this point, you are able to return to the main highway which is 17 kms brings you out in the area known as Las Cuevas. This is at Km 96 which is 53 Kms north of the International Airport. Heading north from there you will encounter first Buena Vista and immediately after Los Barilles. These two towns represent the border between the municipalities of Los Cabos and La Paz.
